Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I am thankful for all of you.
It is that time of year again when there is the real Christmas on the horizon and then there is what tends to be my Christmas coming after that. March Madness in Vegas.
This is my way of thanking each of you for grinding day in and day out to ensure we remain the best personal injury law firm in Kentucky thanks to everything you do and for getting to see my best friends and work family have a great time and get a little spoiled.
We will be staying at the Venetian Palazzo this year. I am trying to get the jump on planning this year. Very few non stop flight options. And I am trying to bring a bigger group out this year so I need more time for logistics.
The most important thing right now is to fill out the linked Google Sheet so I can finalize rooms and book flights. Please complete this before Christmas if you can.

If you commit and an emergency comes up that is totally fine. Shit happens. Babies come earlier than expected. Spouses flip and decide you do not need to be in Vegas. I get it. But let me know as soon as something like that happens. I am booking early enough that rooms are refundable so it is fine if you pull a January or February portal move and decommit. But not March.
If you are not coming it is totally fine but please mark OUT. I will remove you from the GroupMe to keep you from getting messages.
Flights covered room covered and anything on the list of events covered. If it is not on the list assume it is not covered.
Arrival date options: 3/17 or 3/18.
Departure date options: 3/20 or 3/21.
LOCATION: This years location to stay is the Venetian Palazzo. These are all suite hotels the Palazzo is connected and is the second tower. Rooms have two beds and a fold out couch in a separate area so assume it will be 3 to a room if needed.
MONEY: I will give everyone a little cash when you get out there. Do what you want with it. It will not be enough to get you through the trip if you are gambling but it will be enough to enjoy yourself.
In the notes list the flights you prefer your bday m d y and your name on your ID. Remember to fly you will need a Real ID or a passport.
I want to book flights now because Southwest is the only non stop and they are already filling up. Flights out there on Tuesday and Wednesday arrive at 5 pm from SDF. There is a Delta nonstop from CVG on 3/18 at 7 am arriving at 8 am. If anyone does not mind a connection there are many options on several airlines from Louisville and Lexington on both days.
For the flights back on Saturday the nonstop leaves at 9:45 am and arrives at 4 pm. It is already expensive. I will book it now for those who want it but not later if the price jacks up more. The 5 am flight through Phoenix gets back at 2 pm and is cheap. Plenty of one stop options on other airlines too. For those who fly back on Friday you have plenty of options.
Transport. I have got you covered for Uber to and from the airport and around the city. Not limousine service professional drivers etc.
Room Charges: If it is my card on the room do not order room service charge things to the room or eat things from a mini bar unless you get with me ahead of time.
Commitment and No Shows: If you commit to a dinner you commit to showing up on time. None of the shenanigans like last year. These restaurants charge penalties for no shows require everyone present for seating and do not fuck around if we are not all there. If you cannot make it and committed I need at least 2 hours notice.
Behavior: I do not want to babysit people who cannot hold their alcohol. I do not want to bail anyone out of jail. I do not want to see you at 3 am getting cash advances on credit cards or find out on Friday that you have not been seen since Wednesday. Control yourself.
I do not review the statements when we get back from Vegas and not want a reason to. I ask Kyle what the damages were. If it is well above what I had planned for then I look. Issues over the years tend to be dinners on Thursday and Friday. Just be respectful of the fact that it is my money and try not to spend it recklessly without my blessing.
Have an amazing time. Do not expect to see me much. I live vicariously through you guys and my joy out there comes from a cigar a slot machine with my dad nearby and knowing that my best friends work family and father and son are living it up.
Kick ass between now and then please.
Sidenote. Obviously we have an incredible female team as well. This year when we hit some nice cases I am going to offer them a similar experience they can go somewhere and enjoy themselves while we cover them for a few days.
